Foo Fighters brought a different shape to their live show at the Hollywood Bowl on August 22, performing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and members of Youth Orchestra Los Angeles. The concert, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, blended the band’s familiar rock sound with full orchestral arrangements across a 15-song set.
During the performance, the group also brought several rarely played songs back to the stage. I Should Have Known returned for the first time since 2012, while Razor was performed for the first time since 2006. Home also made its first live appearance since 2007, giving longtime fans a set that reached beyond the band’s biggest hits.
The evening still included staples such as The Pretender, Learn to Fly, Best of You and Everlong. Foo Fighters also performed A320, while Aurora was dedicated to late drummer Taylor Hawkins.
The Hollywood Bowl concert highlighted both sides of the band’s catalog, pairing well-known songs with deeper cuts in a large-scale orchestral setting.
