A new charity auction will give fans the opportunity to bid on a wide range of personal items that once belonged to Whitney Houston. The event, announced by Julien’s Auctions and The Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation, will feature memorabilia connected to the late singer’s celebrated career and personal life.

The collection includes Houston’s gold-plated Social Security card, a nine-time Platinum RIAA award for I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me), jewelry, luggage, and outfits she wore for performances, photo sessions, and public appearances. Several of the items will be showcased during the Legacy of Love Gala in Atlanta before they are offered to bidders.

The auction is scheduled for August 11 in Los Angeles, with online bidding available for those who cannot attend in person. Every dollar raised will benefit the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation, which funds scholarships and grants for students from underserved communities. The annual gala, taking place a few days earlier, will also honor what would have been Houston’s 63rd birthday, with Babyface set to perform during the celebration.
