Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst is floating an idea: create a new music festival for artists who never get a call from Coachella.
It started with a post from rapper Lil Wayne, who pointed out that events like Coachella and the Grammys tend to roll around every year without him. Durst saw it, agreed, and responded publicly on X, saying he has ideas for an alternative gathering he has been developing for some time and that he is open to talking it through.
Limp Bizkit has never played Coachella. The band has performed at a long list of major festivals across the US and Europe over the years, including Download, Hellfest, and Aftershock, but the California desert has remained off the list.
No specific plans for this new event have been shared yet. Durst described it only as an experience and acknowledgment gathering for artists who feel left out of the mainstream festival circuit.
The band has a heavy schedule of European and North American festival dates running through the rest of 2026. Durst is also featured on Machine Gun Kelly’s new single, set for release on April 21.
