An overnight festival update said Anyma would not perform Friday night at Coachella after strong winds disrupted the stage setup for his scheduled midnight appearance. The decision was made with the artist, and safety was given as the reason. The cancellation notice came about 15 minutes after the set was supposed to begin.

Anyma later told fans he was sorry and said the production had been in the works for a full year, adding that efforts were underway to find a solution. The performance was set to introduce his new live show, ÆDEN, and had been one of the more anticipated late-night sets of the opening day.

The appearance was listed for 12 a.m. on Friday, April 10, on the Coachella Stage, following Sabrina Carpenter’s headlining set. The cancellation left fans waiting for word on whether the missed Weekend 1 performance could be rescheduled. At that point, no replacement plan had been confirmed. Anyma was still expected to appear during Weekend 2 in Indio.
