Lainey Wilson Laughs Off Backstage Mix-Up at Her Own Show
Speaking during a recent interview, Lainey Wilson shared a backstage story that caught even her off guard. The country singer said she was once stopped just before walking onstage and asked to show a pass for entry, even though she was the one about to perform.
Wilson recalled that the show was a festival in Colorado with a modest crowd, and she already had her guitar strapped on when a crew member blocked her near the stairs. She said she responded by telling him she was the pass, then quickly realized how strange that sounded. Wilson added that she could have gone to get the pass, but it had her face on it anyway.
She laughed about the moment, but the story also pointed to something more personal. In the same conversation, Wilson said fame has brought changes in how some people treat her. She explained that even people who have known her for years sometimes act differently now, while she still feels like the same person she has always been.
