An Instagram message shared after Benson Boone’s March 15 concert in Birmingham, England, gave fans a closer look at one of the night’s most talked-about moments. During the show, a couple got engaged in the crowd, and Boone later congratulated them with a playful note.

In that post, Boone celebrated the pair and joked about realizing too late that he had called them newlyweds right after the proposal. He apologized in a lighthearted way and said he wished them both the best, turning a small mistake into part of the story from the night.

The Birmingham date already carried extra meaning. The concert was staged as a makeup show after Boone had previously canceled because of vocal issues. It also featured a surprise appearance from Queen guitarist Brian May, which added to the energy in the room.

Boone later described the performance as one he would remember for a long time. He praised the crowd, spoke warmly about sharing the stage with May, and hinted that more shows may be on the way.
